liebman Disco abbastanza introvabile poi comparso su iTunes e preso al volo, un disco Fusion carino, niente di particolare ma piacevole il pezzo preferito dell’album è “You Only See You”. E’ stato pubblicato nel 1980 con l’etichetta Columbia.

Questo disco è abbastanza introvabile, ma vale sicuramente la pena trovarlo, è un disco pieno di carica; ha un’intensità che raramente si trova, da notare è il contrabassista Cecil McBee che sembra veramente una forza della natura e nel pezzo di “Softly As in a Morning Sunrise” suona il tema con una intensità inaudita. Alla batteria il grande Elvin Jones e al piano ‘immancabile Kenny Kirkland.

charnett-moffett-nettworkQuesto CD l’ho reperito usato comprandolo su Amazon per pochi euro, è un disco del 1991 di Fusion Easy Listening. I brani che preferisco sono “Nettwork”, “Angela II”, “Universal”.
Questo disco vede come produttore Kenny Kirkland che ovviamente compare anche alle tastiere.
Il disco è distribuito sotto l’etichetta Capitol.

hadenQuesto è un bootleg o meglio una registrazione di un concerto avvenuto il 30 gennaio del 1987 a Vancouver. Bellissimo concerto da sentire e da avere, questo disco non si può comprare ma si può scaricare liberamente e penso anche legalmente da Internet.

E’ un disco funky jazz tipo degli anni 70 e segnalo 2 pezzi che mi sono molto piaciuti “Mystery of Ages” e “Bed-Stuy Blues”.

Un disco quasi fusion, ci sono pezzi particolarmente belli e mi sento di consigliare “Joyful Noise” e soprattutto “Starting Again” con un’intro fantastica.
Il disco è stato pubblicato nel 1984 con l’etichetta ECM.

imageHo reperito questo splendido bootleg con una registrazione live del quartetto di Branford Marsalis, la qualità è abbastanza buona; le performanche sono incredibili, questa band dal vivo non ha precedenti. Ha una carica nei soli che è fantastica penso che sia un disco imperdibile per gli amanti del genere.
